Saturday Service Projects are events hosted by the Bennion Center intended to support local community organizations through single-day direct engagement efforts. Join students, staff, faculty, and community members in honor of our namesake Lowell Bennion and his dedication to community engagement and direct service.
At this project, volunteers will help with cleaning, stocking, preparing food, prepping for events, and other pantry tasks. All ages welcome (if under 18 years and non-matriculated, a guardian must be present).

At this project, volunteers will paint micro apartments to prepare the space for an incoming Veteran arriving at Valor House. Ages 18+

At this project, volunteers will help create personal pinatas for the children in our Therapeutic Preschool Program, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. All ages welcome!

At this project, volunteers will help assisting in farm maintenance on newly developed side of farm, weeding and creating level ground to lay weed cloth, spreading woodchips and put up a shade structure/ pergola. All ages welcome!

At this project, volunteers will make sack lunches that we can distribute to parents through our hospital program, since RMHC will be remodeling kitchens. All ages welcome!

At this project, volunteers will help with weeding, planting, shoveling, and raking the outdoor classroom for nature-based learning for young children. All ages welcome!

At this project, volunteers will help deep clean the pantry and make sandwiches for lunches that will be handed out to clients over the following week. All ages (with chaperones if under age 16) welcome!

Join students, staff, faculty, and community members in honor of our namesake Lowell Bennion and his dedication to community engagement and direct service.
At this project, volunteers will come together to build over 10,000 kits for students. These kits can include food, hygiene, and backpack kits to serve the students of the Granite School District. This event is also in collaboration with Granite Education Foundation's 4th Annual September 11th Day of Service. Ages 12+

Join students, staff, faculty, and community members in honor of our namesake Lowell Bennion and his dedication to community engagement and direct service.
At this project, volunteers will receive training the morning of the event, then head out to install smoke alarms in a designated community. Our goal is to prevent fire-related deaths and injuries in the U.S. by installing 2.5 million free smoke alarms and helping to make 1 million households safer in at-risk communities. Ages 18+

At this project, volunteers will plant trees at Wheeler Farm. All ages welcome (if under 18 years and non-matriculated, a guardian must be present).

Join students, staff, faculty, and community members in honor of our namesake Lowell Bennion and his dedication to community engagement and direct service.
At this project, volunteers will deliver food boxes to homebound individuals and seniors living in poverty. We will need at least 4 vehicles to help with deliveries. Each food box contains approximately one week’s worth of non-perishable food, along with as much fresh food as available. After deliveries, volunteers will assist in our warehouse with various tasks like sorting donated food and building food boxes for seniors. Ages 18+

Join students, staff, faculty, and community members at our largest Saturday Service Project of the year, Legacy of Lowell, in honor of our namesake Lowell Bennion and his dedication to community engagement and direct service.
At this project, volunteers will help clean up and organize 2-3 areas of the store floor (e.g. clean up & organize the lumber & trim area, clean up & organize the flooring area, etc.) The group would be split evenly into the various projects. Ages 16+
