We strive to connect students with the aerospace industry, encourage innovation through hands‑on learning and research, foster leadership and teamwork, and support ethical and inclusive advancement of aeronautics and astronautics.

The University of Utah Amateur Radio Club is an amateur radio organization dedicated
to fostering technical curiosity, radio experimentation, and community service. Originally
active 30-40 years ago, the club has recently been revitalized by a new generation of
enthusiasts, eager to restore its legacy.
Our mission is to bring new people into the hobby and provide education and opportunities to everyone. We host community events such as our Electrorent-sponsored
campus-wide foxhunt and educational talk, and antenna build days. In recent months, half
of our new, younger, core members have become licensed, a trend we intend to continue
as new students and members join our club. We provide the tooling and resources we
can to encourage continued involvement and interest in the hobby. We actively work
with our members to explore amateur radio, from building antennas to experimenting
with software-defined radios (SDR), to making contacts as a group in order to build
confidence and allow members without appropriate licensing to operate on higher bands
under appropriate supervision from licensed members. Our aim with these projects is to
make the hobby more accessible and engaging. Through workshops, hands-on projects,
and community events, we aim to cultivate a vibrant amateur radio community on campus
and beyond.

These meetings will begin on January 19th and will run every other week unless otherwise notified through email. We have open lab times for hands on work from 11:00 AM to 1:45 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) University of Utah Student Chapter focuses on providing opportunities for students to learn more about the world of Biomedical Engineering and the opportunities available to them. The chapter will also provide opportunities for members to develop in industrial and academic settings.
2. The BMES University of Utah Student Chapter encourages involvement and teamwork from members. All administrative, professional, and academic activities will be handled in a fair and non-discriminatory fashion.
3. The BMES University of Utah Student Chapter is to host a variety of events throughout the year to provide networking and resource opportunities for students. These events will usually take the form of guest speakers from industry and from academics and focus on members’ professional and academic development, but other events are possible.
4. The BMES Student Chapter will spearhead a mentorship program between upperclassmen and underclassmen to facilitate the successful navigation of the major.
5. The BMES University of Utah Student Chapter will encourage members to participate in the BMES Annual Meeting organized and held by the national BMES organization.
6. The events organized by the BMES University of Utah Student Chapter will be open to all students interested in attending, regardless of membership.

The goal of the competitive coding club is primarily to prepare for ICPC, the International
Collegiate Programming Contest. This is the largest programming contest for undergraduates in the world. We practice each week with this goal in mind. The club's secondary goal is to improve the general programming skills of members and prepare them for interviews which include programming problems. Companies often use programs similar to competitive programming problems, so the club offers excellent experience.
