We are the American Medical Women's Association Pre-Med Chapter with the University of Utah. We aim to advance women in medicine, advocate for equity, and ensure excellence in health care for undergraduate students at the University of Utah. Our organization allows a safe, non-competitive forum for pre-medical students to network, discuss medical school prerequisites, volunteer, research, and more.

Our members have access to unique volunteering opportunities through our events and established volunteering opportunities once a month. We provide members with information on how to get involved in research, volunteering, MCAT help, course advice, and more. We work closely with the PPA (Pre-professional advising) to ensure we provide accurate information and to offer members additional tools and resources.

Our mission is to promote understanding and interest in anesthesiology among medical students and premedical students. We do this by hosting a variety of events throughout the year, including informational workshops led by anesthesiology attendings and hands-on sessions focused on airway management skills such as intubation. We are committed to aligning with broader student organization goals by prioritizing experiential learning and fostering an inclusive environment. We strive to make our events accessible, welcoming, and valuable to learners at all stages and we aim to create a space where everyone feels encouraged to explore anesthesiology.

The Association of Native American Medical Students (ANAMS) is a student organization representing Native American graduates, health professionals and students throughout the U.S. and Canada. Our local chapter focuses on supporting our members at the University of Utah, at other Utah colleges and universities, and anyone interested in applying to a Utah health professions or graduate school. Our goals include providing support and resources for all Native Americans currently enrolled in various allied health professions schools, those interested in applying to health professions schools, and allies interested in Native American health.

We are a branch of the national AWS society striving to networking within the University of Utah and across the nation.
