The International Law Society (ILS) at the S.J. Quinney College of Law is organized to
provide a forum for students interested in international law, global legal issues, and international
affairs to expand their knowledge and engage in meaningful discussion. The objective of ILS is
to promote awareness and understanding of international legal developments and their
implications for global governance, human rights, commerce, security, and the environment.
Furthermore, ILS seeks to facilitate access to academic, professional, and volunteer opportunities
in international and comparative law; foster connections with practitioners, scholars, and
organizations in the field; and create a space for students to explore and critically discuss
emerging issues in the international legal order.

The Student Intellectual Property Law Association of the S.J. Quinney College of Law (“SIPLA”) is open to all students who have an interest in intellectual property (IP) law, including but not limited to patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and data protection and privacy. SIPLA organizes trips to local firms with IP practices, brings IP attorneys and technology professionals to campus for lectures and networking events, hosts educational sessions, provides a forum for discussion and advising on topics relating to IP law and careers, and disseminates announcements of competitions, prizes, internships and other IP-related opportunities around the country.

Mission
The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a group of conservatives and libertarians interested in the current state of the legal order. It is founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be. The Society seeks both to promote an awareness of these principles and to further their application through its activities.

The Women’s Law Caucus was formed in response to the scarcity of venues that addressed the obstacles that women face in the legal profession. The WLC seeks to be a source of support, opportunity and information for women and men in our community. The WLC promotes interest in issues of particular concern to women, provides a forum for students on issues affecting the legal community, and provides activities that promote involvement in legal and women's issues. The WLC administers the Reva Beck Bosone Scholarship each fall.
