Mission
The Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine Recognized Student Government (SBO RSG) aims to support student voices in their MD medical education while being accountable to the students and administration in student opinion advocacy and student government elections. In doing so the RSG will work to bring together the school’s leadership and students to better the medical profession throughout their medical school journey.

Membership Benefits
● Advocate for students in the School of Medicine
● Provide an overarching government structure for class presidents and longitudinal house leadership
● Lead monthly SBO meetings with MS1-MS4 class presidents and respective administration from student affairs, academic community and culture, alumni association, and any other administration with concerns regarding medical student education experience.
● Organize yearly budget proposals for the Alumni Association and other associations that historically contribute to student government initiatives
● Hold elections for class presidents and house leaders each Spring/Fall
● Stand as the main interface for faculty in school wide efforts, and ensure proper support is rendered to all classes, events, and school needs
● Hold quarterly mistreatment committee meetings with the Dean and Associate Dean of Student Affairs
● The SBO RSG will also draft proposals regarding ASUU funding for medical student events
● With regard to specific SBO secretary duties: write weekly SBO all school email newsletters, schedule monthly SBO meetings, and document meeting minutes
