The purpose of 3DAC is to create an environment where individuals interested in
various forms of digital 3D art as it relates to games, film and other digital media can
come together to collaborate and communicate. The goal of the club is to encourage
students to create 3D work through knowledge sharing, feedback and collaboration. The
3D Art Club will do this through regularly scheduled challenges, where members will be
prompted to create 3D models of a reference chosen by majority vote of the members.

3D4E at Utah aims to empower students with an interest in the realm of 3D printing and additive
manufacturing with the skills and resources to gain new knowledge irrespective of individual proficiency
levels.

This will be done through:
1. Year long projects that will be worked on by small teams and presented to organization members
throughout the year and other branches of 3D4E at the end of the spring semester. Some projects
will be focused on 3D printing based competitions outside of the organization.
2. Workshops for 3D printing, CAD, 3D scanning, and other relevant technology run by technical
lead officers.
3. Supplying filament, printers, parts, and technical assistance necessary for projects.
4. Collaboration with other organizations and initiatives at the University of Utah that could benefit
from 3D printing proficiency, like labs or student organizations outside of engineering

One of the central components of the organization is the Journal Club, where members will analyze and discuss clinical cases to enhance their critical thinking skills and deepen their understanding of oncology practice. Additionally, networking events with oncology faculty members on campus will offer students valuable mentorship and insight into career pathways in oncology.
To further bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and clinical practice, we will host guest speaker events that emphasize the clinical aspects of oncology, allowing students to learn directly from experienced physicians and researchers. Hands-on learning will also be a priority, with interactive experiences such as biopsy workshops, suturing sessions, and a procedural series focusing on technological advancements in oncology, all designed to provide practical skills relevant to cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Academic reinforcement will be a key focus, particularly through cancer disease reviews, where we will consolidate and revisit the oncology-related content covered in medical education. This will be especially beneficial for future MS1 students, equipping them with foundational knowledge before they begin their formal studies.
On the research front, we seek to engage members in clinical cancer research, guiding them toward opportunities such as the Medical Student Research Program (MSRP) in the spring. We will also hold a Surgical Oncology Series that will highlight key surgical interventions, while the Systemic Therapy discussions will provide insight into pharmacologic and immunologic treatments for cancer.
Beyond clinical and research education, we are committed to supporting the broader oncology community through fundraising events. These initiatives will not only raise awareness but also provide financial support for cancer research, patient care, and advocacy efforts.
